Hot Plate Welding

Hotplate welding conventionally means bringing two or more plastic components into contact with an appropriately shaped hot metal plate. The heat from the plate melts the closest surfaces of the components; the hot plate is then withdrawn, the components brought into contact with each other and allowed to cool. The components have thus been hotplate welded.

We make a variety of hot plate welding machines, from manual operation to fully automatic, to suit the manufacturing application.

There are other means of welding plastics that do not require contact with a hot plate. Please return to the home page to view other options.
